Dr. Stevens earned his undergraduate degree in biology at Tulane University in 1984 and his dental degree at NYU College of Dentistry in 1988. He completed a two year general practice residency at North Shore University Hospital / Cornell University Medical College in Manhasset NY, and earned his Endodontic certification at The Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, in 1992. He maintains a private endodontic practice in Jacksonville.

Dr. Stevens is a Past President of the Northeast District Dental Association. He is a past president of the Jacksonville Dental Society and has served on the Public Protection Committee. He is a delegate of the Florida Dental Association house of delegates and previously served as an at-large alternate delegate for the American Dental Association house of delegates. Dr. Stevens serves on the board of directors for the Florida Dental Health Foundation, the FLADPAC and the DENTPAC. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, The International College of Dentists, a member of The Pierre Fauchard Honorary Dental Academy, The American Association of Endodontists, and The Florida Association of Endodontists.

Dr. Stevens and his wife, Rori, enjoy traveling and wine tasting. They have two children, Josh and Carly.
